Metaview Buys AI-Native Recruiter Reval to Speed Up Its 'AI Coworker'
The News
London-based Metaview, whose agentic recruiting platform is used by more than 5,000 companies, has acquired Reval, an AI-native recruiting firm founded by Seth Tilliss and Aditya Gupta. Reval used AI to source, screen and deliver candidates for more than 100 enterprises and agencies, including FabFitFun and LangChain. The deal, on undisclosed terms, is aimed at accelerating 'fillmore', Metaview's outbound recruiting AI coworker, which sources candidates and books screening calls and has drawn thousands of teams to its waitlist since a June launch. Why It Matters
Metaview is buying a services firm, not another software vendor — an acquisition that is really about acquiring operating know-how for an autonomous sourcing product. The stated thesis is blunt: recruiting capacity should not scale with recruiting headcount. For TA leaders this is the clearest signal yet that vendors are moving past assistant-style AI (note-taking, transcription) toward AI that owns the top of the funnel — which directly challenges how sourcing teams are staffed and measured.Taking Action

Who to talk with in your enterprise
Your sourcing lead and your head of talent operations. Ask whether any of your agency or RPO spend is effectively buying what 'fillmore' now claims to automate — candidate identification, outreach and screening-call booking. Then talk to your HRIS and legal team: if you pilot an autonomous sourcing coworker, you will need clear rules on candidate consent, data handling and where a human takes over.Inspect
What to take a closer look at
Map your top-of-funnel costs: what share of hires come from agencies or outbound sourcing versus inbound applications, and at what cost per hire. Check whether your ATS or sourcing tools already offer autonomous sourcing features you have not enabled. If you run an 'AI assistant' vendor, verify what it actually does versus what it claims — transcription is not the same as owning the funnel.Reflect
What to think about more deeply
If recruiting capacity no longer has to scale with headcount, what exactly are your sourcing teams being paid to do?
