Adecco Targets 50% of Revenue Through Agentic AI by December — and Has the Numbers to Back It

Staffing Hub · 2026-08-07

Adecco Group is targeting more than half its global revenue to flow through agentic AI by 31 December 2026, supported by a multi-year, unlimited-seat Salesforce Agentforce 360 licence covering all three business units — Adecco, LHH, and Akkodis — across 60 countries and roughly 27,000 recruiters. The target wasn't pulled from a slide deck: Adecco's UK operation had already posted 15% time savings, shorter time-to-fill, higher fill rates, and lower cost-to-serve before the global commitment was made. The company consolidated more than 30 separate Salesforce instances into a single data layer to make it work. Bullhorn's 2026 GRID survey of nearly 2,300 recruiting professionals found only 10% of staffing firms have agentic AI running end-to-end, and firms using AI anywhere in the recruiting process were 3.5 to 4.5 times more likely to grow revenue in 2025.

This isn't about Adecco. It's about the gap between the top of the market and everyone else. Adecco is aiming for 50% while the industry average sits at 10%. The Bullhorn data showing AI-using firms growing 3.5x-4.5x faster should concentrate minds in any TA leadership team. But the story's real lesson is in sequencing: Adecco proved the numbers in one market before scaling globally. The UK pilot delivered measurable results — not demos, not proof-of-concepts, not "we're excited about the potential" — before the C-suite signed off on a 60-country rollout. That discipline is rarer than the technology.

Who to talk with in your enterprise

Your head of TA operations — what percentage of your recruitment workflow (sourcing, screening, matching) currently runs on AI versus manual recruiter effort? Your CFO or finance business partner — share the Bullhorn revenue-growth correlation as context for a conversation about where AI investment sits in next year's planning cycle.

What to take a closer look at

Pull up every AI recruitment tool your team has purchased or trialled in the last 18 months. Count how many are touching live placements this week. If the answer is fewer than half, ask what's blocking adoption — is it integration, training, trust, or that nobody was ever accountable for making them work?

What to think about more deeply

Adecco measured 15% time savings and then set a 50% revenue target. Most TA teams measure AI adoption by licence count and call it progress. What if you measured AI success the same way you measure a recruiter's: placements, not logins?
